Delete Your Gide Account

Delete Gide — Legacy from the app

Open Settings, scroll to Account, and choose Delete my account and local data. After you confirm, Gide deletes your Firebase sign-in identity, membership and coordination records, and the complete local vault on that phone.

If you organize a family, deletion also closes that family’s Gide service. Other family members keep files already stored on their own phones or in their own Google Drive accounts.

What is not automatically deleted

Files in your personal Google Drive remain under your control so you do not lose your family archive unexpectedly. You can delete the Gide — Legacy and Gide — Legacy Backups folders directly in Google Drive. Gide also deletes its RevenueCat customer record. Google Play may retain transaction records required for purchases, refunds, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

Request deletion without the app

Submit this form using the email address connected to Gide. We may ask you to verify control of that address before deleting the account. We will respond and complete a verified request within 30 days.

You can also email privacy@trustedstranger.app. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, private stories, photos, or other sensitive family information.
